Your Anthem Nurse

An Anthem Nurse can help you or an eligible covered family member manage a complex or serious health condition. Based on your health care situation, an Anthem nurse may call or send a letter to offer support under this program. They will help you develop a care plan, monitor your health as well as schedule and prepare for appointments and tests with your physician. Here are some other ways they can help you achieve the highest quality of life:

  • Provide information and answer questions about your diagnosis, health conditions or treatment plan to help you make informed decisions about your health care.
  • Develop a personal action plan to help you improve your health status, reach your health goals and follow your doctor’s treatment plan.
  • Assist in getting access to the health services/medications you need.
  • Provide you with information about other health resources that may be beneficial for you or your family.
Virtual Second Opinions at No Cost to You

You have access to expert second opinions at no additional cost to you through a partnership with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Consumer Medical. In just a matter of days, you can talk by phone or video with a board-certified specialist who has reviewed your condition and medical records to make sure your diagnosis is correct and the treatment you choose is right for you. You can also ask the medical specialist questions about your condition and different treatment options.
